INSIGHT VACATIONS LEADS IN GREEN MOVEMENT WITH TRAVEL BRISK WALKERS

“The environmental challenges of our time are clear – climate change, the loss of cultural heritage, and diminishing natural habitats and species – and Insight Vacations Singapore is doing its part to get travel agency staff to appreciate our nature and conservations in Singapore
“Mass tourism presents significant environmental and social challenges and Insight Vacations Singapore will continue to highlight the importance of sustainable tourism and protect places of great ecological and cultural importance through organized activities such as Travel Industry Boardwalk.
On 26 January 2008, Insight Vacations organised a Travel Industry Boardwalk for some 70 Travel Industry and Airlines at the Changi Boardwalk. This event was also strongly supported by Etihad Airways, Emirates Airways and Thai International.
Mayor or Northwest CDC and Member of Parliament for Bukit Panjang, Dr Teo Ho Pin was Guest of Honor to flag off the 3.5 kilometre walk. Mayor Teo, who Champion Briskwalking in the Northwest Distirct was delighted that the industry is also taking such initiative to appreciate our surroundings through briskwalking. It also promotes a healthy lifestyle.
Said Dr Robin Yap, Regional Director of Insight Vacations as well as Chairman of Northwest CDC YEC “These initiatives follow the principle that it’s necessary to take a precautionary approach to environmental concerns and use our influence to have a positive impact on social issues and the wellbeing of our staff and local communities”
